Do I need a referral to see a doctor at the Nix Senior Health Center?
We are able to schedule appointments directly, but also welcome referrals from other physicians.
Can I keep my other doctors?
Our geriatricians provide primary medical care. For patients whose physicians are specialists such as cardiologists, orthopaedists and oncologists, we provide coordinated primary geriatric care.
We will also serve as memory loss consultants at the request of your primary care physician.
Will I always see the same doctor?
Yes. Patients receiving their primary care at the office have their ongoing care provided by one physician. The Center is a group practice, and other physicians are available for urgent visits.
How do I reach the doctor or other healthcare provider for a new problem?
Call 568-5600 to set up an appointment.
What if I need emergency care?
Nix Health Emergency Room is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week on the first floor of the Nix Medical Center. Should you have a minor or life-threatening emergency, this skilled staff of board-certified emergency room physicians is available around the clock.
Do you have a list of people who will come into the home to help with housekeeping and personal care?
